Dear Parents,
A summer reading book list has been added to my website--check it out with your child. These books will help my students prepare for 7th grade over the summer break. Do not forget to enroll your scholar in your local library's Summer Reading Program, to encourage them to read and to earn rewards.
I added a Summer Reading Journal activity, as many parents encourage their child practicing reading comprehension and writing skills over the summer break. The journal assignment covers the reading comprehension main areas. This activity is optional, but I do encouraged all Honor Students to complete the activity for each book read.
Do not forget, we want them prepared and ready for learning on the first day back to school.
